![]() The novel is told in alternate chapters by Neaera H and William G, two middle-aged people who are feeling rather lost. I didn’t watch it in the end, but it did make me pick up the book a couple of years ago – and, of course, I couldn’t resist a lovely NYRB Classics edition. I first heard of Turtle Diary (1975) by Russell Hoban when looking for films made in the year I was born (the adaptation was made in 1985).
